Thiossane West African Dance Company
Date: Monday, Feb. 9, 9 p.m.; Location: Center Dining Room (CDR), the Benham-Prince Student Center; Thiossane presents the richness of authentic West African culture through dance and music.
The Burundi Drummers
Date: Friday, Feb. 13, 7 p.m.; Location: Ness Auditorium, Hollenbeck Hall; The drummers share the culture of Burundi through the music of drums and dance.
Film: Dear White People
Date: Wednesday, Feb. 18, 9-11 p.m.; Location: Founders, the Benham-Pence Student Center; This award-winning satirical drama looks at the lives of four black students on a predominately white campus.
Panel Discussion: 50 Years After the Voting Rights Act
Date: Wednesday, Feb. 25, 4:30-6 p.m.; Participants: Molly Wood, History Department; ShaDawn Battle, English Department; John Young, Multicultural Student Programs; Location: Ness Auditorium, Hollenbeck Hall
Panel Discussion: The Truth About Black Greeks: Fact vs. Fiction
Date: Thursday, Feb. 26, 7 p.m.; Participants: Brian Richardson, Residence Life, and NaQuaina Moore, Center for Student Success; Location: Founders, the Benham-Pence Student Center.
