As ý looks to embark on its first comprehensive campaign in nearly two decades, several alumni and campus representatives have agreed to assist the University in this bold effort.
Leading the committee will be managing co-chair Janet E. Jackson ’75, retired CEO and president of United Way of Central Ohio; co-chair Wesley Bates ’70, CEO and Chair of the Board of Stanley Steemer; and co-chair Sarah Hagen McWilliams ’88, community leader and philanthropist.
Joining the co-chairs will be Derrick Braziel ’09, co-founder of MORTAR Cincinnati; Bill Edwards ’89, partner, Ulmer & Berne LLP; Alicia Sweet Hupp ’82, president and CEO of Sweet Manufacturing Company; Bob Merzweiler ’76, CEO of Landmark Plastic Corp.; Steve Neely ’75, president/owner of Armoloy of Ohio; and Gina Schaefer ’93, owner, Logan Hardware. The committee will also include ý representatives Rebecca Kocher, vice president for advancement and alumni engagement, and Andrew Steele, assistant vice president for advancement and director of campaigns. Melanie Norton, founder, Norton Philanthropic Counsel, will help advise the campaign.
