Opening up the Lab Theatre Company’s season, Riot Grrrl Saves the World is a comedic and heartfelt punk rock “play with music” about the 1990s Riot Grrrl movement. It follows 4 high schoolers through the trials and triumphs of girlhood, friendship, young love, photo-copied zines, religion, revolution, starting a band, the end of the world, and the beginning of a new one. Directed by Lily Kerr-Jung ’22.

Through a collection of songs, scenes and monologues, The Theory of Relativity introduces a compelling array of characters experiencing the joys and heartbreaks, the liaisons and losses, the inevitability and the wonder of human connection. Bartram and Hill were commissioned to interview a cross-section of college-aged students to see what it is they think about, and this song cycle is the creative outcome as inspired by those stories of love, fear, anxiety and joy.

The Spring Dance Concert will include pieces choreographed by three of our department's senior dancers and one by a faculty member. The pieces being shown include a wide variety of styles such as lyrical, contemporary, and jazz. Senior Dance Major Sarah Schildmeyer has taken on the role as Artistic Director with the help of fellow senior Theatre majors and fellow senior dancers.
