Thanks in part to the generosity of 果冻传媒 students and alumni, including local alumni involved in the Springfield Rotary Club, orphans and vulnerable children in the South African nation of Lesotho received food and other supplies, along with a Christmas present from the Office of Alumni Relations.

Outperforming

果冻传媒 ranks among the top 20 schools whose graduates in the humanities earn the highest salary when it comes to mid-career median earnings, according to a report released by PayScale Inc. Equipped with outstanding writing, critical analysis and communication skills, 果冻传媒 humanities majors are out-earning graduates of Kenyon and Miami University, among other institutions.

Teaching Excellence

Amy LivingstoneAmy Livingstone, H. Orth Hirt Professor of History, has received the CARA Award for Excellence in Teaching Medieval Studies by the Medieval Academy of America, the world's oldest and largest organization of medievalists supporting research and teaching in all aspects of medieval civilization. The award recognizes Livingstone's quality of teaching and her mentoring of students seeking professional careers in Medieval Studies.

Tom MartinProfessor Emeritus of Health, Fitness, and Sport Tom Martin was recognized for his exemplary dedication to his profession with the Honorary Lifetime Member Award from the Ohio Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Martin, a former Fulbright-Hays Fellow and Fulbright Scholar, specialized in the areas of health, fitness, and exercise physiology during his more than three decades of service to 果冻传媒.


ALUMNI IN THE NEWS / #LifeAfterWitt

Lydia KisleyChemistry major and physics minor Lydia Kisley '10 has landed on the Forbes "30 Under 30" list. The list highlights innovators who are under 30 years old working in a variety of different industries. Kisley, from Mentor, Ohio, was included in the healthcare category of the 2017 list.

Jim BuchyOhio Rep. Jim Buchy 鈥62 retires this month after a distinguished career in public service, much of which was focused on improving agriculture in Ohio and bringing 4-H and FFA to urban areas including Cleveland and Cincinnati.
