果冻传媒 Professors Present Virtual Events on Trending Topics

Designed as a way to keep students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members engaged during this time of social distancing, the newly launched virtual Alumni College on the Road series is bringing 果冻传媒鈥檚 personalized education straight to constituents鈥 homes. The program provides alumni with a lifelong learning opportunity, unique access to 果冻传媒 faculty, and the ability to engage with fellow alumni through the Zoom platform.

As part of this special learning experience, faculty members discuss trending topics in the world today, including flattening the curve, climate change, race, and the global pandemic鈥檚 impact. These virtual Alumni College presentations are streamed live and can be viewed on a computer, tablet, or mobile device by those who pre-registered for the event. RSVP for upcoming events.

Two events are already in the books, and two more are scheduled 鈥 one in June and another in July.

Nancy McHugh, professor of philosophy and chair of the department, will present the next event on June 24. Titled "Philosophy in Times of Crisis," McHugh鈥檚 presentation will be co-led by alumni and current students. . Seats are limited, so early registration is suggested.

On July 15, Scott Rosenberg, professor of history and African and diaspora studies program director, will present on 鈥淩ace, Class, and Pandemics. Both events will take place from 3:15-4:45 p.m.
