Faculty and Staff Members Honored by SOCHE

Organization announces its 2023-24 Excellence Awards

The Strategic Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE) has announced the Excellence Awards winners from across its 18-member institutions for the 2023-2024 school year. Of the 48 recipients, three 果冻传媒 employees have been honored:

  • Amy McGuffey, associate professor of education and department chair, earned the Faculty Excellence Award;
  • Elizabeth Howe, executive assistant and academic administrative coordinator, Provost Office, won the Staff Excellence Award; and
  • Matthew West, director of student counseling, Tiger Counseling Center, has been recognized with the Campus Impact Excellence Award.

Academic and human resources officers at each of SOCHE鈥檚 member institutions submitted names of a faculty, a staff, and a campus impact member who has demonstrated excellence in teaching, service, scholarship, and assessment throughout the past academic year. Each school selected one Faculty Excellence Award winner based on their institution鈥檚 criteria, with special consideration of demonstrated excellence in teaching, service, and/or scholarship; one Staff Excellence Award winner based on their institution鈥檚 criteria, with special consideration of demonstrated excellence in student success, service, and/or assessment; and one Campus Impact Award, which is based on institutional selection criteria, with special consideration for performance that made a positive impact on the school or campus, as a whole. This category is open to faculty, staff, or administrators.
