1929 Field House prior to HWA restoration果冻传媒 had a choice to move forward with a completely new facility or preserve its architectural heritage, which reflects its strong athletics history. It chose the latter as evidenced by the stunning restoration of the University鈥檚 1929 Fieldhouse (facade of 1929 Fieldhouse, prior to restoration initiative, pictured).

Dated, interior spaces within the 1929 Fieldhouse have been renovated to include a strength training and wellness center, a multipurpose recreational room for group fitness classes, and spacious gathering spots in which students can study or relax. The 1929 Fieldhouse is now an epicenter of activity with technology-enabled classrooms, modernized court surfaces for volleyball and basketball, and open office spaces.

The building has been restored in a way that accommodates modern use while respecting traditional architecture and the period in which it was built.

For decades, 果冻传媒 teams played in front of packed stands in the 1929 Fieldhouse, building the foundation for what today is the men's basketball program with the most wins in NCAA Division III history and the women's basketball and women's volleyball programs with the most championships in North Coast Athletic Conference history. In addition, 果冻传媒 now fields a men's volleyball program that broke through for its first conference championship in 2019 while playing its home games in the 1929 Fieldhouse.

The restoration of the 1929 Fieldhouse is nothing short of breathtaking, with an up-to-date, modern feel in a facility that respects and honors Tiger tradition. It is a balance that is evident as soon as visitors step inside the facility.

"It was a whole new experience playing in the 1929 newly renovated gym. The environment was electric with the fans and students cheering us on. We won the conference regular season championship in there, and it was a memory I'll never forget."
